Scope

The Japan-Korea Seminar on Ceramics has been held every year since 1984 in Japan or Korea alternately in order to increase science and technology exchange among researchers in Japan and Korea on the ceramics filed that has the long history of relations between the two countries. Since 1997 (the 14th Seminar), it has been expanded to international communities, especially East Asia. The word “International” was, therefore, added to its name.

The concept of the seminar is based on the report and discussion of ceramic materials research and development toward the 21 century. The scientific program will be constructed by Plenary, Invited and Oral presentations with following some Poster presentations on Theoretical, Experimental and Applications of ceramic materials. Also the encouragement award is planned for young scientists.

Scientists and engineers from universities, research institutes and companies are cordially invited to attend the seminar, which aims to provide a forum and opportunity for growing the future researchers in the field of ceramic technologies. The Organizing Committee would be happy if all the participants would use this opportunity to hold lively discussion and to exchange opinions and information so that the seminar will be fruitful.
